I recently purchased a few A-Rigs and am hoping to give them a try for the first time this year.  What jig heads does everyone use on their A-Rigs?

It really depends on the bait for me.  I will use anything from 1/16 Bass Magic Shaky Heads for tiny baits, to a Dirty Jig 1/8 for little dippers, up to a Buckeye Swimbait 1/4 for dippers.  I usually have a couple tied on to fish different depths, and this works the best for me.

I have been using the Picasso 2x with the gamies. No problems at all. Caught fish up to 10 pounds with this set up.

I have gone to lighter rigging:

Outside arms: Gamakatsu 4/0 Offser Worm Hook/ LFT Live Magic Shad (no weight).

Inside arm: Johnson Silver Minnow.

 

 

 

 

VMC "Ike approved" swimbait heads.

I use 1/8 oz Strike King Squadron and Buckeye J-Will swimbait heads, whichever I can find locally.
