I have wondered and will ask all who have used this shimano size 50 reel in heavy vegetation aka.. Hydrilla . Is it tough enough? With braid or co- poly ? Thanks to those who know!

    Yes, right out of the box! But in my opinion, carbontex upgrade makes it even better.

    yea your good...I use a pixy in the thick stuff all the time and its SUPPOSED to be a finesse reel
