Being held February 27-March 2, 2014.

Has anyone gone to this in the past? If so, how was it?

I went last year and loved it.  I plan to attend again this year as well.

I made a day of it between the workshop sessions, all the vendors (including our own Megastrike) and demonstrations.  Last year I met Ike and Ish.

Get there early.  It loads up quick.

I think Big Mikey 5Bass will be at the Daiwa booth...tell him I said he stinks at fishing. :P

I used to go every year. Great show! I think the best show in NJ.

Years ago I visited Suffern many times when my sister used to live there. It wouldn't have been my first guess as to where a "World exposition" of anything would be held. :laugh5:

Do you guys know if there deals to be had there?  (rods, reels) or would I be better off waiting for sales etc?

You can always haggle! Hell that's half the fun! I usually go the last day (Sunday), take the tour, make notes of what I want. Then, the last hour of the show, I go around and make offers. Win some, lose some. But I have got some killer deals before.

yeah  if your looking for some cheaper gear go on Sunday. the show is pretty good i went last year and had a good time.

Been watching it fall off to more and more non fishing booths..on the other hand if you are looking to check out Loomis, Shimano or Daiwa it works...another hit is Northern Bass Supply.
