Diawa Exceler

Featured Replies

I saw this reel at Cabelas for $44.99. It has an aluminum frame, something reels of this price range don't usually have. Has anyone had it and would recommend it? For such a low price, it's got some nice features.

I think they are trying to clear out the old model as a new one is on the way.  For that price they are a solid workhorse reel.  I would say the one knock against them is the weight, they are are pretty heavy reel.

They aren't as refined as Daiwa's higher end reels but they have many of the same features.  They are solid reels at their regular price and are a steal at $45.  Like camman said, they are on sale because a new model is out now.

I purchased the exceler awhile back and have since then liked it and have not had any issues. If any of the local stores around me have any of that price ill probably get me another.

I had one,but gave it too my brother,as he needed a good reel. This reel has been around for awhile, which says something about. I really like them,i dont think youll be dissapointed at all,and its at a very good price too.

Yeah, was looking at them and thought they were neat. I might get my hands on one soon. And by new model you mean the Exceler 100? For $99
