You are probably right, but after just buying 2 Chronarch ci4's, I'll have to pass, even if they are going for $50. Bucks. Can't believe I just said that.

I've never done the trade in before, will they take any reel or does it have to be a casting reel?

The bassmaster's classic trade-in deal last year, the one by my house had little 5$ cheap spin casts reels that you could buy and use for your trade in(proceeds went to a charity). I did that and it counted for 30$ or whatever off of one of my revos.

 

I wonder if they'll do something like again or if there will be restrictions to get the curado for that price.

Hopefully they do it like that, I have a couple old plastic shimano spinning reels laying around that need to go away.

They were gone within a week and a half. I called academy heaquarters (I think that is what it was) and asked if they had any zillion type R left in the whole US that they could ship to my store, and they said there was not one left. I missed out on the deal and was really bummed.

I am not going to miss the Ch E deal though!
