She isnt much, but she's mine!

Hanging from the ceiling in my garage is a brand new Tracker Topper 1236. Ive got a new 6hp Tohatsu on the way. Ill be adding a slightly raised (6") floor on the bow, and a floor in the mid section. I need to find a trolling motor, and shell be all set!

The hoist is Harken Hoister, and I cant recommend it enough, really a cool way to store a boat.

Ive got a bed extender for my Tundra, and the boat fits great. Ill be mounting a roller on the extender cross bar to roll the boat into the bed of the truck using a simple pulley system when Im solo. Its got 9" fold up, pneumatic tires that mount on the transom (theyre out for the pics) and it rolls around very easily.

I think Ive found a way for me to fish solo, fairly easily without a trailer, and without having to keep a boat in storage.

Thats awesome.  I keep trying to think up a way to fish solo easily, with my jeep its tough.  Glad you found a way to make it possible!

Congrats!

So the roller on the bed extender goes pretty close to the water at the ramp?  Otherwise, you have to 'lift' it and too much for one person I would think.  Please post some pics once you are done. I would love to see the entire set up.

Its got the 9" folding pneumatic tires to roll it around. Very easy for one person. The pulley system in the truck will ease it down onto the ground. Getting her up into the truck will be the hard part.

My first boat was a 94 Tracker Tournament V 17 with a 60hp, 2 stroke, Merc. I still have it and it's in great shape. It has a few drawbacks , one being a narrow beam (72'') so there's not a lot of room when you get two people in it but I fish by myself most of the time anyway. I really like the new Trackers but I can't find enough things wrong with mine to let it go.You will enjoy yours for many years to come!

Nice, Drewski73!

I was planning on buying used aluminum bass boat this summer. However, I started thinking about getting jon boat instead due to less $$$.

This is riveted boat, correct? Are they expected to leak after few years generally? Sorry for noob question.

Yes its a riveted boat. I wouldnt say "expected". It has a 3 year warranty. If it starts leaking, Ill replace leaky rivets. Maybe even steelflex the bottom.

Yeah, sorry, 'expected' is wrong word. :) So it sounds like things you can do about leaks. I better read up a little. Thanks!

Congrats on the new rig! Nothing wrong with that at all. It doesn't take a big boat to catch fish! Heck my first one was even smaller than that.

Pretty fun little rig. I was able to take a maiden voyage, and had an absolute blast. Spent a few hours breaking in the engine, but the fishing was so good, I didnt azs much of that as I had planned! Got 30+ bass with the biggest around 5. The boat fishes bigger than I was expecting. A lot of fun to be had in this little thing!

Drewski73, a few of questios for you.

Are the rollers on the extender just plain PVC pies?

How hard was it for you to lift the nose of the boat on to the extender when you are on the ramp by yourself? Should be harder than doing it in your garage where it is leveled, but wondering how much harder.

With all the weight of your rig, are you able to lift the front side of be boat and move the boat up the ramp by yourself?

I was going to put a roller on the extender, but after using the pvc Im not. It slides really easy on that pvc.

I didnt use a ramp. I find an area I can launch off the bank. I put the motor, and battery in the boat while on the bank and slide her in. Pulling the boat out was easy enough. The bank was maybe 2 feet high. The flat bottom slides very easily. It would be hard for one guy to do this on a ramp. Although with the wheels down, I could tie the bow to the extender and tow it to level ground easily.

Ive only added 50 pounds. So without motor and battery its at 160 give or take. With the wheels down it moves around VERY easily.
