I was looking for an alternative to plastic worms or jigs for fishing deep and slow in cold water - something compact but would move some water. Looked through my plastics bin and found a bag of these Zoom Speed Craws that I picked up at WallyWorld a while back. Used them for the first time yesterday, t-rigged, and got a little 13" bass in 40 degree water. Today I got a very nice 20" 3.76lb bass in 45 degree water. So, I'm a happy camper.

Does anyone else fish these t-rigged? Does anyone feel that there is another compact (3") craw or creature bait that works better?

Hard to beat a rage craw or baby craw.

I like to fish them on a football head shakey jig too. Works great around rip rap. Lets you work them deep and slow.

A zoom dead ringer is awesome and one of the most over looked worms on the market.

That is one of my favorite craws actually. I like to use them as jig trailers on smaller jigs. I also like to use them Texas rigged for flipping, pitching, and punching. They are a great bait IMO.

I have had luck on craws that have big claws that move a lot of water like paca craws and chigger craws but I catch a LOT of fish on craws that are subtle like the Yamamoto regular and fat baby craws.

Love those on a carolina rig with the claws dipped in chartruese.

Thanks! I got a fish to finish the year, and got a fish to start the year 8-) Not bad considering my lakes were frozen over just two days ago. The weather forecast is showing that I'll probably have soft water for at least a couple of weeks before they freeze again.

I've had a lot of success with those ultra vibes. I use them on rubber skirted jigs, C and T rigs and on shakey heads. Awesome bait that has caught me a LOT of fish.

yup. i agree with everyone else. they are great producing lures..... but then.. almost everything zoom makes is. *shrug*

Take a look at the Yum Big Show Craw. They're versatile baits as well.

Yeah, especially the price part. I always stock up on those things in a lot more numbers than I do certain other creature/craw plastics.

I wish they still made one in all black.  I have a pack and a half left and I conserve them.

Actually, I wish ALL bait makers made straight black baits...

i mostly just get zoom for worms & lizards...didnt think they had good craw out. Ill have to check these out!
