If I'm not mistaken z-man trademarked the coffin shaped ones. You can get the rounded ones at barlows tackle online store. I would think if you really wanted the coffin shaped ones you could get some big spinner blades and flatten them out and cut to the shape wanted or just get some strong sheetmetal and make your own. Just depends on the time you wanna spend on them.

    You may also be able to use aviation snips to cut the rounded ones to be coffin shaped. Then use a file to smooth rough or sharp edges.

    i'm a chatterbait addict and like the coffin too but it's a confidence thing right now. i like how they vibrate b/c i can turn on/off the blade by reeling extra slow. however if i'm not mistaken Bluebasser86 uses one similar to the #1231 Jig Dancer listed. he posts pix of catching hawg after hawg after hawg on his homemade blade jig so i know they work just as well. it's just a matter of me letter go of the coffin lol

    The coffin shaped blades at LPO or pro lures online are MUSKY size and really big. I had 500 that I got from Barlows when they first sold them, I got a cease and desist letter from Z-Man not long after, I assume Barlows had to provide them the names of everyone who bought bulk and I agree, those blades vibrate harder than the rounded ones. My suggestion is to buy a chatterbait, take the blade off and look online for companies that do laser cutting, you will have to get a minimum number but if you can get a bunch of people on a group buy it may be something to look at.

    Then dont tell anyone you have them so zman doesnt send a letter lol. Ya got any of those 500 left? I need about a dozen

    There's ways to make the rounded blades vibrate just as hard as the coffin shaped blades :)
