Today I caught my first fiah of the year! slammed a couple 2 pounders on a rick clunn squarebill. I caught my new pb on a lake fork swim bait. he was 24 inches long and 16 inches around! any guess's on his weight? Im pumped up because my goal was to catch a new personal; record and I did it! any ways thanks for reading!

Congrats!! My guess would be in the 8lb range. Have to find a weight calculator for a better est.

According to this it would be 9lbs.  Congrats on the new pb!  Now go get a scale and a camera so you can be sure next time!

 But what a crying shame you didn't have a camera or a phone or something to capture a picture of your accomplishment.

This is pretty accurate for bass. Length times length times girth divided by 1200. Puts your pb at 7.68 lbs. Congrats on the fine catch.

^^^^^ This is by far the most accurate equation for calculating weight. I have tested it out against my digital scale and it is super accurate. Always within a 0.10 of a pound. 

 

Congrats on the new personal best. It is always exhilarating catching a new personal best. Any pics ? We all love pics of big bass !!
