Berkley Nanofi Uni-Filament Fishing Line

Featured Replies

Has any one used or do anyone use this line? Looking for some feed back on it. I was looking at 4 pound for a lite river trout set up.

It may be good for trout but, used it a lot for bass and it seems to fray real easy. Lost a lot of fish from the line breaking even after re tying. But with that being said it could of been a bad batch or two because I have some more spooled up and haven't had any troubles yet. Also I'll be up in Stoney Creek in April!!!

I really like it. It casts like a dream. However I've had it break off pretty easily on rocky banks. These were pretty rough rocks so any line might not have been that great. I love it in grass or open water.

Will do guys, will look at something  else, planned on using it for river trout but the area is pretty rocky. So I will find something else if this line frays easy.

I must have gotten a lucky spool because I used the 8lb line with no problems whatsoever. It held a leader knot well and was sensitive as can be. Honestly I never used it around rocks but did use it in weeds and wood with no issues.

Too weak to tie a knot!

I have an almost full spool and one unopened. Bought them because our

new Academy was about to throw them away. $3.98 I think. At any rate,

if you would like to try the line send me a PM with your mailing address

and you can have it for free.

Same here, but I only used it as a leader, but I did use the entire spool over time.

I was addressing the OP, 4 lb test.

Not lucky, just smart.  All stuper lines have ziltch abrasion resistance and should always be used with a leader.
