Megabass Question

Featured Replies

I've seen Megabass baits here and there over the years in limited numbers.  It was explained to me once that they are made in small batches with a lot of attention to detail.   Suddenly, they are in great supply.  Bass pro shops sells them in the catalog, Dicks sporting good has them.  *** has a large supply.  Something has clearly changed with the number of baits they are manufacturing.   Is anybody seeing a change to the quality of the more recently manufactured lures?  I'm in the market for a couple jerkbaits, but I'm not paying 25 dollars if the quality isn't there anymore.  Thanks

The quality and quantity was always there ut the main market was Japan until they've gained recent popularity with the North American market so BPS and other companies have been importing a lot more tof them.

The quality is the same, what is not is the color palette, they moved from a limited number of baits painted in X pattern  to more massive more readily available patterns. No more you see on the top of the bait the year it was painted.

Megabass baits are all of top knotch quality I have 11 Ito vision 110s and all of them perform flawlessly. I have no problem spending $20-$30 per bait for a quality product.

VERY nice lures, each is a work of art.
