St Croix Premeir And Pflueger President Combo Opinions

Featured Replies

I'm buying a st croix premeir medium power fast action 6'6 spinning rod with a pflueger president 6930 reel. I mainly fish perch bass catfish and the occasional striper none being over 25 inches. What are your guys opinions do you think I should get the 7'0 rod

It sounds like a great combo to me. Whether you want 6'6" or 7' is personal preference.

When I put together a combo it's for the average fish I'm catching.  When and if I hook into something much bigger that's game on, and that's what I'm looking for.

I have this combo, only with the 7' MF premier. Works great, I love it. The President is one sweet reel.

Just bought st croix triumph 6'6 med and Pflueger president spinning combo

Sweet setup

Was fishing for coho salmon on Lake Michigan last night

No bites but I really love that combo

I have no brand loyalty but do have 5, more than any other company, St Croix rods and like them all from the triumph to the LTB. But as far as spinning rods go I dont think that fenwick can be matched. great rod with, in my opinion, the BEST reel seat ever made. very comfortable.

What's the power on that Triumph...if it's a Medium or Medium-heavy - you're golden.

Sounds good. 7’ Medium?  I fish a lot of SC Rods but not a Triumph. Don’t see many on a local scale. Do fish Premiers and Avids. 7’ MED-Fast. Great rod for soft plastics. Tubes, craws, Creatures, Flukes, Worms. Enjoy it, have fun.
