Hello I am new to bass fishing i started last summer and I am starting to fish alot more and i have some bait but i wanted to know what are some baits should i get and what colors. I have a $40 limit for now.

Here's what I would suggest:

1-Yamamoto senko - Green Pumpkin Black Flake (Stick Bait)

2-Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG hooks (for texas rigging)

3-Gamakatsu 1/0 Finess wide gap (for wacky rigging)

3-White/Chartreuse 3/8oz Spinnerbait (covers entire water column)

4-Rattletrap chrome black back

This should cost you about 20$ and will get you well on your way.

Get you some type of lipless crankbait(cotton cordell super spot, rat l trap, or red eye shad), a couple jigs, spinnerbaits, and some netbait paca craws and paca chunks.

Caught plenty of smallmouth and largemouth on Storm Wild Eye Swim Shad. They worked real well for us last year and I have at least 12 in the tackle box now. Just match the color to the local baitfish.

Some suggestions are not cheap, but believe me a short budget and crap tackle make a fishing trip a nightmare, better few things but use the best.
