Powell Max, Daiwa Tatula, Others ?

Featured Replies

Apologies for another vs. question, but I am researching rods at the $150 price point....namely the Powell Max and Daiwa tatula.....thoughts on these two? Other comparable rods? I might have a problem when it comes to buying fishing rods! Just getting back into fishing and it's amazing how many great options are out there!

I'm not going to get into rod vs rod since I haven't handled a tatula for longer then 5 minutes but you can get the powell endurance for $150 and it's a better rod then the max series. Thefishranger

I have a couple Powell Max rods that I've been very pleased with. I only wish my local retailers would carry the endurance line of rods.

Other then the instant satisfaction part of buying from a store, online will probably save you money. You avoid taxes and higher mark ups plus from where I mentioned offers free shipping and lifetime warranty.

I suppose I might just have to get both!
