Used 10# yozuri for years for bonefishing - no problems.

I've tried 10lb on my Stradics and did not care for it.  The 6lb is awesome though.  I would go with the ultra soft instead of the regular hybrid.

6# ultrasoft is the way to go. See if you can exchange it or. ....use that 10#hybrid on your baitcaster for shakeyheads, and lightweight work. That's what I use sometines for deep cranking! Lol.

As much of a braid lover as I am I'm considering a move to mono at least for a trial. 

 

A good copoly (yo-zuri hybrid) seems like a more natural transition from braid to me. You'll at least maintain comparable sensitivity. I just switched my spinning reels from 10# powerpro to yo-zuri hybrid because I was tired of tying fluoro leaders. I'm really impressed with the sensitivity and strength of the yo-zuri, but was really disappointed by the memory in the 10#. Great on a baitcaster, horrible on spinning. Will be throwing some light texas rigs with the 6# on a 3000 Sahara this weekend and will report back.

I'll use 10# line, buts got to be a 4000 reel. For typical 2500 size bass reels, I don't go over 8#. Usually spool up with 6#.

I think the above is absolutley correct, any brand 10# line that breaks at 14# is 14# line. I do believe line diameter is the key to management.

As much of a braid lover as I am I'm considering a move to mono at least for a trial. My windknots are getting to be excessive on my freshwater reels. If unhappy with mono I've been considering a new reel to use with braid, I do already know that that reel will be.

What exactly do you mean by giving it a trial ?

I assume, you mean you're now/ salt fishing environment vs freshwater/ Michigan waters?

What Reel are you considering for Braid only?
