Florida Bass Weight Estimate Needed

Featured Replies

This was from last summer down in South Florida, and i've been meaning to see what everyone on the forums thinks the weight is. We didn't have scales at the time but we measured and she was 23 inches long. We estimated the weight by just holding her that she weighed 8 to 8.5 lbs.

How much do you think it weighed?

My friend caught this monster on a senko

At 23" and doesn't appear to be skinny I'd guess in the 6-7 pound range. This one was 24.5" and only weighed 7.51 but she was kind of skinny though.

That looks bigger than 7 lbs 15 oz.  Really nice fish.

5.25.... Idk... Pictures are deceiving somewhat.. Concerning weight anyhow.... Always a nice fish above 3 pounds though!!

Probably  6ish pound fish, your horizontal pic kinda resembles this picture of mine...

Definitely a healthy fish, looks pretty chunky. I'm saying 6-7ish. You gotta figure out how to make their gut hang out when you hold them horizontal with 2 hands!
