Is this a good froging reel to get from wally-world. I dont have to much money to spend so i cant get something expensive.

Yes the Lew's is better than the Max reels you were looking at, plus this has a 7:1:1 gear ratio, though I'm just not sure a reel with a graphite frame is ideal for frogging. Buy it and try it out. If it works then great. If not you can always return it but I'd listen to DVT.

It's your money. If you're dead set on getting the Lew's then get it and try it out. That graphite frame though. Don't just go out and buy something to buy something. I've been there. You want what you want and you want it now, even though a little more patience will open up better options for you. If you can spend $80 on that Lew's, you can surely save up a tad more for a much better reel that will work great for the application you want to use it in.

To add to what TN is saying check out walmart a pfluegers and quantums. Some of their models are aluminum frame for at or under a hundred bucks if u can swing it. The older model pflueger presidents have been on sale for around 80 bucks. Or the quantum centex and accurists.

isnt the pq the same price as that lews? and if youre set on a lews get the speed spool. with the rebates u can get it cheaper than the lAser mg.

If you can hold out a little more for a bit more $$, I was looking at the website you provided, and they also have the Tournament MG 7:1, which is a great reel for $114. This reel would be perfect for you.

BZZZZT! Wrong answer!  Has to be an aluminum frame reel for my money.

"LIGHTWEIGHT" graphite frame ..... now that´s an oxymoron, the graphite frame reels I used to know were heavier than aluminum frame reels, so where´s the "lightness" ?

He's a kid with money burning a hole in his pocket lol. I think he finally settled on a BPS Pro Qualifier.
