Shimano Citica Or Bps Nitro Z

Featured Replies

I understand the different prices. But just pretend the prices are $60 for each. Which one would you get? Here's a link to the specs.

I would take the Citica 200D. It does have a big profile though. Maybe consider a Citica 200E.

The Citica D without a doubt, the D series ( Curado and Citica ) is probably the best series Shimano has ever made, the only "drawback" was the weight, but of course a spinach eater young gun like you can handle that weight easily.

Not apples for apples but the Citica is a smooth and durable reel without a doubt. The PQ is a proven performer and almost always on sale. I can't see experimenting with the other models for a few bucks difference. The Nitro looks like a deal on paper but I don't have any hands-on with it.

They aren't in the same class, the Citica all the time.

Citica 100000% of the time.

All the baitcasters I currently use are BPS brand. Four are PQs and two are older model Extremes. The PQ is the only one I endorse without reservation. The Citica is a proven reel. For the same money I would not even consider the Nitro.
