Its an awesome way to catch fish. T-rigs and jigs are my go to confidence techniques

Shure you can, but to make it more interesting try using a glass bead and a tungsten or steel sinker, a curly tail worm or grub, then it will have sound and more vibration. The fish can feel the vibration and hear the noise.

I love trigging craws at night dont know why but I do and it works.

Texas rig weightless or with weights and beads, different actions but both give good results.  I've not done any bass fishing past say 10pm or so because the bugs are horrid at night and I prefer to fish when I can see, but during hot summer months I imagine bass are more active and do a lot of their hunting/foraging during cooler night hours. 

I have my ultralight pole dedicated to t-rig but still trying to land my first t-rig fish.  It should be equally effective at day or night, I think my problem is going slightly too fast, I think it needs to be low and slow.

An ultralight rod would not be my first choice for throwing TR'd plastics. The very lightest I'd suggest going is medium. Medium/heavy would be better. It's going to be tough to get a good hook set with a UL rod.

I've hooked up with a couple decent fish with a Carolina rig on a light rod. Gotta set it like you mean it, but it can be done.

You have to set it like you mean it when you bring an ultralight to a stream and find it full of 30 lb king salmon in logjams!

The Texas rig is a great way to night fish, but use a larger bait than you would normally use, in a dark colour, and then dip the tail in some chartreuse JJ's magic. Works wonders on the bass.
