Fishing Tips

Featured Replies

im going to a lake soon and every time I have been there i never catch anything.

It is a decent size reservoir with lots of weeds and grass underwater but since the state stocks rainbows and channel cats that's all people fish for. I know for a fact that there are bass here, but i never catch any.  any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance. post-49593-0-83084800-1405453115_thumb.j

Best thing would be to talk to the locals and see if you can find a fishing report for the lake you are going to.  If it's clear, I'd go with natural looking colors of soft plastics.

looks like a higher elev lake...may have spots in it, maybe SM. Drop shot works well when its clear.

Is that San Pablo?

yes. yes it is

I'd go with the ol' favorite, senko's. Green pumpkin' or watermelon.

Are you fishing from  a boat?

Dropshot. Deep crankin.

Fished it growing up. Float tube it.
