Best Spinning Rod/reel Case

Featured Replies

I been traveling a lot and been wanting a better way to keep my rod and reel safe in a vehicle.  I have a Shimano 2500 size spinning reel and 6'6" 2 piece rod.  I would like a soft case where the reel can stay attached.  Don't really need any extra storage in the case just want something to protect it.

I see Allan's make one but read somewhere the case is a fabric with a cardboard rod tube and that does not thrill me.  I liked the case but really would like it to have a PVC rod tube and not a cardboard (I read this and have not confirmed this to be true of the Allan case).  I would prefer a black case but I know I can't be picky.

Thanks

Thanks Roadwarrior but I was really looking for something that would allow me to leave the reel on the rod.  Years ago I seen one that was made with a heavy fabric wrapped tube and the one end of the tube  swelled way out for the reel.  The reel area was very well padded and had some plastic reinforcement around it to help protect the reel.  I am not going to shipping the rod/reel in it, jus something that would let me put it in the car/truck she traveling and keep it from getting banged around mainly.

"Allen" makes something close to what I want but when I Emailed the company the customer service could not tell me how it was constructed (cardboard or PVC tube).

Here is a link to it to give you an idea:

Thanks again
