The Storm Wild Eye swimbaits aren't bad for what they are; a cheap swimbait. I'll use them from time to time. Heck just yesterday I caught a bunch on them. I caught about 6 before the body started to tear from the hook. A little super glue and you're good to go. Firetiger is usually a good color in them for me. If you are just starting out swimbait fishing, they aren't a bad way to go. As opposed to hollow body swimbaits, you won't have to worry about what size and weight of hook to use, or getting it rigged just perfect so it doesn't fall on it's side. The Wild Eyes are the only Storm swimbait I have used.

I like the Wild Eye Swim Shads, they do catch fish, and the price is good which makes me use them without worry. I use them in the deeper holes for river smallmouth, the other soft plastic swim baits rigged with a jig head tend to get pushed up in river current but the swim shads don't, the late spring and early fall are when these really shine and then when the water temp gets under 60 it is time to bring out the hard swim baits, at least on my waters.

Tried them no luck.  There are many alternatives to this type of fishing.  I like the ones from Reaction Strike but they can be hard to find.

They catch fish for me. What more can you ask for?

I use them during the winter for wipers and largemouth. The place I fish them you have to skip the bait a long ways to get to the fish and I trash a lot of baits without ever catching a fish on them, makes them a perfect option.
