Let's Play "remember When"

Remember when you didn't have a scale? Fish were bigger then.

No kidding!  Digi scales gave me a whole new perspective!  I can still tell when young guys don't have one. :wink2:

Here is one that probably few will remember:  Vibra Bat lures.  Ordered a kit as a kid.  They were supposed to catch so many fish that everyone would be super envious.  50 years ago!  Never got a bite!

Remember when it was cool to put big stickers of fish on your boat or truck. I had a bass and a pike. Vomit

I'm with you on the BIG stickers...but I still think smaller LMB silhouette stickers are kinda cool...

My biggest memory is "remember when" they had the 1998 Bassmasters Classic televised and you got to watch Denny Brauer and George Cochran go back and forth for the win?  That made me want to bass fish about as bad as anything.

Remember when the dropshot was the "always lucky" rig in translation?

Remember when flippin' sticks didn't have triggers?

Remember when braided line was coming out and you didn't have to say "I wish I could get a fish out of there" anymore?

Remember when 7' rods were LONG?

Remember when 6'6" were considered long and Ugly Sticks were considered good rods. When all the hooks were bronze finished and Mitchell spinning reels were one of the best you could buy. I remember seeing the price on a Fenwick HMG Iron Hawk and thinking I'll never pay anywhere close to that for a fishing rod.

I remember when and I'm not sure if this applies to your part of the country, but here in MA you were required to have your fishing license laminated and safety pinned to your shirt or more than likely, hat while fishing.
