No, G. Loomis is a company owned by Shimano.  Gary Loomis is a person  that owns North Fork Composites and Edge is a subdivision of NFC and make the Edge rods.

No, the company G. Loomis is now owned and run by Shimano. Gary Loomis started G. Loomis and sold it to them several years ago. He has absolutely nothing to do with any current G. Loomis rods.

 

Today Gary Loomis Currently owns and operates NFC (North Fork Composites). He developed and is making Edge Rods. He also is the designer of TFO rod's (Temple Fork Outfiters)
