Can I use 15# test mono on a MH/F rod to fish with frogs? Or is this too weak?

Yes you can use it. 

 

If you're in heavy slop, it is too weak.

Agree with iabass.  If you are fishing your frogs mostly in open water the mono should work.  Just make sure to be very technical and precise with your hook sets.  Mono stretches and frogs have big hooks.  If you're fishing in or around cover, you're much better off going with braid.

I wouldn't try mono with frogs even in open water - I fish open water all the time with frogs and use 50lb braid - it's for the lack of stretch not strength - that said, sharpen your hooks, reel down and set the hook, it may work better than I think.

I used 16 lb super natural in some pretty heavy cover once caught lots of 2-3 lbers never broke any off. Just make SURE to retie your line at least after every bass. Or u could lose a nice one. I recently lost a 6 lber on a fluke on 12 lb test fishing in light cover my line was a little frayed was to lazy to retie and I lost him. Ill never forgive myself:)

Normally I would say go w/ 60 lb sunline fx2. Amazing braid diameter of 40-50 lb test of other brands. Covers all my frogging/ pitching needs.

Yup, x3 lol, I use 50lb braid and MH-F for my frogging, I don't own a heavy fast/extra fast rod lol
