Had a little time to kill before going in to work today.  So I stopped by the farm pound to make a few cast.  The where really active today, but anyway I caught this one bass and it had a monster belly on it, almost looked deformed. None of the other bass had anywhere near the belly this one had. My question is he just eating that well or is there a possible problem with the fish.  Just had to share

I'd bet that fish has a good sized bluegill stuffed in it's belly, it looks about the right shape. I've had a couple fish that looked like that and there's almost always a crappie or bluegill tail sticking out of their gullet. 

Nice catch and fish....looks like it is getting close to fall feed and it is getting a head start on fattening up for the cold weather.

I agree. I'm sure it had just ate prior to you catching him. Ive caught a few with the tail fin still sticking out of their throat that looked like this.

Just looks like a very healthy fish. Coloring looks good, eyes are good, scales look good, fins look good. I see no reason to question his health. 

 

If that fish were a human, he looks like the type of person who eats 2 Big Mac's for lunch every day. 

The bass are definitely getting fatter!  Pulled a 12-13" bass out of the weeds yesterday that was easily heavier than some legal fish I've caught a few months ago.
