Just because they stamp "swimbait" on a rod at the factory doesn't mean it can't be used for something else. My "jig and worm" LTB makes a great spinnerbait and bladed jig rod :) Never have fished a jig or a worm on it  :laugh5:

Yes I agree with everyone, Flip with it, throw heavy spinnerbaits deep, I believe you will be fine.

It really depends on how heavy a swimbait rod.. the lighter swimbait rods, yes

I have a 8' heavy swimbait rod and yes I tried flipping and spinnerbaiting with it.. can you do it .. yes

but its a real chore as it cant sling the spinnerbaits as far or as accurately

its a bit too stiff for supercontrol in flip situations

it will fling the 1+oz musky spinnerbaits I use well tho so when I upside on spinnerbaits its my stick

Is this a custom rod or a factory rod? If custom, is your rod builder making you a heavy rod out of a musky blank for throwing big swimbaits (2-6oz) or is he using a heavy rod from a standard blank (3/8-2)? BIGGGG difference!
