I picked up a bag of Pit Bosses on a whim (hard not to at that price) and tried fishing them last night with pretty good success from the bank, texas rigged with a small bullet weight. What's your preferred method?

Mainly texas rigged. For pitching to docks, holes in weed beds, and around laydowns I like a  1/4 - 3/8oz tungsten bullet weight with a 4/0 EWG super line hook. For punching, I like a 1/2 - 1oz. tungsten bullet weight with a 5/0 straight shank flipping hook. That's the 4" one...........I also fish the 3" one often too. It's a great finesse jig trailer, and I also use it drop shotting, on a shaky head, and also on a light t-rig.

I have used them, mainly as a Jig trailer. They work fine & at the price? Hard to beat, I got a bunch in late Winter for $1 a bag... Can't go wrong there.

I sometimes fish them on a weighted belly hook and fish them like a paddle tail swimbait.

I pitch them to cover, 3/0 EWG gammy and a 1/4 parasite weight. One of my favorite creature baits and plastics period.

I recently tried one on a split shot rig. Worked great! Usually I just Texas rig them with a 3/16 oz. weight.

I have caught fish with them doing almost everything. Usualy they are a Texas rig until they tear up then they become a jig trailer. I've buzzed them on the surface, swam them like a Spinnerbait and used them on a c rig and caught fish. My favorite plastic bait

I think a "how don't you rig them" thread might be easier. Texas rig, C-rig, swinging football head, shakyhead, jig trailer, bladed jig trailer, weightless buzzed across the surface, drop shot, split shot. They're a versatile bait is what I'm getting at. My preferred method is the one that's working that day

I also cover the point of the hook with a salmon egg.

They really are the duct tape of plastics.

Also I like them because they're tough. I try really hard to keep plastics out of fish bellies and so I really like that they almost never get torn clean off the hook.

I mostly use them for a trailer. Love their light "claws" that stick up when motionless and flap when swam.
