Does it really matter who´s throwing them or if there´s somebody throwing them ? go ahead, bass in NC may not grow to mammoth size but they are still bass and a 5 lber can easily swallow a 10 inch baby bass, where I´m at we have northern, Florida and F1 but that doesn´t mean that every single lake has Florida or F1 strain, on the contrary the most common strain ( just because it´s the native fish ) is northern strain LMB and it´s not an uncommon finding to see 4-6 lb with a 10 incher in the mouth.

Was just asking looking to get any input or tip's on rigging, conditions to throw them in, setups to throw them on or anything that may be helpful. It's always easier to get other's input, advice and help than to start off a new technique blind.

You got a couple, which couple ? being more specific about which lures you have helps. You don´t rig a hollow belly swimbait the way you rig a line through swimbait. Even pre- rigged swimbaits ( like many exposed hook Hudds ) can be rigged by adding more hooks to the belly or to the back.

I've caught bass on swimbaits up to 9" here in Kansas, I'm positive your fish will eat them if you dedicate some time to fishing them.

I fished a swimbait only trip down south earlier this year.

Trust me, there are fish down there plenty big enough to eat a swimbait.

Sorry I do need to be more specific. I'm gonna mainly be throwing hudd's. 68'S and 6in ROF 5. I bought a Low Down Customs rod to throw them on. So I have a dedicated setup just for swimbaits. Also looking to throw some Line thru's and maybe lunker punkers.

Man, 68's are a snack. Throw them around ambush points, just like any other bait. Think of them as a big jig.

As far as Line Thrus, take a look at the Savage Gear and the 316 Rising son. Two different applications of the line thru, both effective.

Man Hudds 68 are the real deal, cast, count to the desired depth and reel in slowly. As for line thru my personal recommendation is Fish Arrow Vivid Cruis, that is a really very nice swimbait with a lot of action ( the action is not limited to the tail ).

Get your self some hardbaits also. Hudds work great but are not always the best. You need to pay attention to the bottom structure and your angle a lot with a Hudd to be really really successfull.

Glide baits work really well and there really is something to be said about there drawing power. They will pull fish off a spot from insanely far away and they will just follow it to the boat like no other. S- Wavers are awesome glides that are super cheap as far as glides go. DEPS Gan Craft and Roman Made also have amazing glides but cost a good bit more.

Also things like Tripple Trouts MS Slammers BBZ-1 and Got'Em Coach work really well.

I almost forgot top water. You also need some floater type baits like Punkers Shell Crackers 3:16 or floating versions of previously mentioned hard baits.

If it is something your into it is worth it go straight for the good stuff and not waste time and money on baits that are only so-so or don't even work.

Appreciate the info and advice guy's. I'll be getting a 3:16 rising son for sure and will look into the Got em Coach baits as well.

Yeah you'll have no problem getting bit with a 6" Hudd. I like the weedless 6" Hudds myself.

This is only a 16 3/4" fish, and it just about swallowed a 6" weedless.
