Modern rock wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for 50-60s rock N' roll.

Metal, hard rock, deathcore, etc. Those are more my genres. I also listen to country, just not as often as the others I listed.

Deathcore is more hardcore lyrics. Metal and hard rock have a little softer lyrics and vocals. Lol

There's a lot of songs that I have to look up lyrics in in deathcore because I can't understand what they're saying through speakers. I believe it's the studio sounds because when I watch them live I can normally understand it and if it's a good quality recording I can understand most of it.

Music has evolved from the original love songs and stories to the new Rock 'n Roll which is a lot of noise.

The original Rock 'n Roll is still better than the junk put out today.

And as for country, it was originally called Country/Western until the late 70s when Western was dropped from its name.

Elvis, Righeous Brothers, Sam & Dave, Aretha Franklin and all the others set the stage for today's noise and their works of art will remain with us forever.

Here is my favorite deathcore song. The only one I could understand what they were saying throughout the the whole song. I'm sure none of you will like it, but I'm also sure at least one of you can relate to the message of it. Lol

Both Elvis and Roy Orbison came from what was called Rock- a- Billy at first if I'm not mistaken, great music.  Do *** was the 4runner to Franky Valli and the 4 Seasons.  Being a Motown man I'm not so sure I would call it Rock N Roll but whatever really good stuff.  Was listening to Marvin Gaye " What's Goin On" album in the car this morning.

Casey Kasem told a story about Berry Gordy. His mother called him all upset. Seems his younger sister had run away and gotten married, and they couldn't locate her. He assured his mom that he would try to locate her. He put the word out and a couple days later his sister called him and confirmed that she had indeed gotten married. She told Berry her husband could really sing and after much persuasion Gordy agreed to give him an audition. A few days later, a young man walked into his office, and said, Mister Gordy,you don't know me but I married your sister. My name is Marvin Gaye. And, as they say, the rest is history.

 To say I knew some of these people personally would be a huge stretch of the truth.  Many of the Motown celebs lived in my neighborhood including Berry Gordy, seeing them outside or shopping wasn't out of the ordinary.  Some of us used to hang out at a drive in, now and then Marvin Gaye and David Ruffin (Temptations) came by, we all cruised on our bikes with them.
