Bassmaster has like 103 people on a list on their site. The one that showed kvd in 53rd place. Not sure what that list is. Something about the AOL standings.

In any event, you all can still say who you think.

Hackney is having a really good year, possible sleeper pick. Depending on weather conditions Martins may also be a good choice.  Then again you have Ike who just came off a big win so that could give him a push.

It's hard to maintain momentum after several months off for winter.  Hackney definitely has the momentum going right now though.  Alton Jones won his Classic at Hartwell last time they had it there, I think Cliff Pace finished 2nd.  Either of those 2 would be as good a pick as any.

My pick would probably be Aaron Martens, you can never rule that guy out.  Look out for Casey Ashley also, this is his home water and he won a FLW tournament there this spring, by a large margin.

If that lake is Ashley's home waters and already has a win on there yes he may be a force to be reconned with.  But then he may have too much knowledge and overthink his approach as some pro's seem to do when they get on their home waters. If it comes down to a dropshot/finesse bite, I'd still say Marten but would also lump Rojas in there too.

I wouldn't think it would come to be a finesse tourny that time of year.  Prespawn hawg mommas want big baits.  I will go out on a limb and say Ranger Boat Pro Shinichi Fukae.  Or maybe Jacob Wheeler.

Aaron Martens has been fishing very consistently for the last two years.  If it comes down to a finesse fishing showdown I will take him 11 times out of 10.

Wheeler hasn't qualified for the Elite series yet. So don't think he's gonna be making the Classic. But if he were in it I wouldn't count him out at all, that kid is a beast of a fisherman.

I couldn't agree more.

If Hackney stumbles just a little at this last AOY event, Marten's will probably win his 2nd straight AOY title.

Wheeler is already in the Classic, via his Bass Fest win on Chickamauga.

And wasn't focusing on finessing so much as to fishing for the lakes spotted bass.

I didn't know that was a qualifiying event since it it didn't offer up any AOY points.  If he is in, then I wouldn't bet against him.

Wheeler would be a good conteder also. Aaron Martens would be up there but I would like to see Randy pull it off again. ;-)

Martin, is over, over due to win a classic, no doubt, he would be my hopeful winner, but it's also a roll of dice as to who can bust them for the whole tournament.

The weather could also play a huge factor in the Classic.    I would love to see Martens, Evers, Faircloth and several others win but I generally love the tournament and am happy for whomever wins.

I think Hackney is a great choice but Palaniuk, Martens, and Evers I think these guys are going to do the best and my pick is Hackney
