I said I wanted one of his old reels he used to "slam" them with. This is what he gave me. Don't know much about round abus but the reel looks pretty slick

That's a work horse of a reel you can pass along to yet a next generation if it's cared for at all. 

Sweet! As a long-time fan of the Swedish round reels, I can tell you that you've got a very nice reel.

 

As DVT said, it will last for generations.

Bullet proof reel.  Enjoy, it will last you a long time.

They cast like a dream and the drags are unbelievably smooth. I like that the level wind goes back and forth on the cast.  Others do not care for that feature. 

It's junk. Put it in the Flea Market for $15. When you do, I have dibs on the first "PM Sent".
