Cardboard Tubes?

Hey guys I wasnt sure if this was the right spot for this or not, if it isnt then I apologize. I was just wondering where you get cardboard tubes for shipping rods in? thanks!

Home Depot, menards,lowes just go adk the floor coverings dept and they will mostblikely give you one for free

I've settled on PVC pipe. I guess it depends some on the value of whatever you're shipping. Sure there's insurance but who want's to jump through those hoops if you don't have to.

If you dont mind me asking, what is the price difference between shipping pvc and cardboard?

I don't know exactly off the top of my head but a postage calculator can tell you. The expensive part is the over size surcharge (7'>). 7' of 3" PVC I wanna say weighs 5# maybe less. Vacuum pipe is lighter and plenty durable if you can find it.

I've sent/received rods in several kinds of tubes.  I think the best were HVAC tubing.  Thin enough to be lighter than PVC or cardboard, strong enough to stand shipping abuse.
