Anyone With Bifflebug Experience?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Was watching a video from Gene Larew with the football head/ bug combo. I was thinking of trying it but would it get snagged a lot? Just wondering

Thanks in advance!

You will be surprised at how snag resistant swinging jig heads really are.

The Hard Head is incredibly snag resistant. The Biffle Bug is great, but don't sleep on the Rattlin Crawler. Great bait.

Hmmmm.. ive seen the same video looks like an awesome set up!

I haven't fished the actual Biffle Bug but the swinging football head jig is my favorite soft plastic presentation now. Like others said, I've been shocked how snag resistant they are, especially in rocks. I love dragging them through rocks and even on lakes that are notoriously snaggy, they come through while snagging very little. I pour my own and love the versatility of getting to choose the hook size/head size/color combo that I want for each presentation or bait.

I like it. Smallies like it.

I cast the Football Swing Jig from Do-It's mold and it does come through rocks well.

i prefer missle bait d bombs over biffle bugs period, and if you like the biffle head, look at the one that eco pro tungsten makes.

The D Bomb is awesome on the hard head. Catch them all the time on Bruiser Flash. Another bait that is seemingly amazing on the hard head is Riot Baits Fuzzy Beaver. That is IMO, the best craw type bait out there.
