Rage Craw And Baby Rage Craw Newcomer...

Featured Replies

I just picked up some baby rage craws... My question is how should I fish them for Largemouth in the mid to late fall in the Northwest? I need to know what hooks to use for both T-rig w/ tungsten weight, and I would like to try out rage rig so I need to know what hooks I should use. Or what should I bee looking at!?!? Please advise!

2/0 EWG light wire hooks, and a 1/8oz tungsten weight, but I also like them on a jig.

I don't use the rage rig, so someone else can chime in for that.

2/0 VMC worm hook. It's a round bend hook, so the hookups you get are very good. Use a 1/8th oz sliding tungsten weight. Target weed pockets, points, laydowns, pretty much any cover or structure that you can cast/pitch to. Oh, and pick up some Mend-It, it will save you a whole lot of money.

Best advice you'll get? Buy some Mend It.

I use em as jig trailers. Sometimes Texas rigged.

I drag them a lot but they are also good for hopping. In cold water I'd probably use a craw with less action. Rage Craws flap like crazy.

Both the Craw and Baby Craw make great jig trailers, but can be very effective by themselves.

I rig the Baby Craw on a 2/0 Gamakatsu Offset Worm Hook and a 1/8 oz barrel weight. The Craw

can be rigged the same or with a little more weight. However, I prefer Rage Rigging the Craw with

1/8 or 1/4 oz Moaner weighted hooks.
