ust thought I might leave this here for you guys to check out. Some of you may have noticed the new microguide model on the website, but this one was a surprise even to some of us that work here. Cool thanks for letting us know that some new products are out. Do you think you will get to use them or anything? Id like to know how they compare to some similarly priced models.

Nothing like my older model.  That's for sure.  Still look like the grip is ample. Rather that than too skinny like on some.  I assume your choice of lens is why the bottom looks pretty big.

I probably won't get to use them this year, no. I have not had any time to get out fishing, and even then, I'm not a big crankbait guy.

The hand its about the same thickness as the generation before this. The camera on my phone makes it look a little big, but it's normal size.

I always thought the BPS cranking stick was a good rod, they had a composite blank but the action was more like pure glass which I like for heavier cranks. I was contemplating one of these as I love my glass rod but I would like to find a lighter glass rod and everything I tried in the composites or S-Glass was too fast. I may have to head to BPS and check one out..

These that I pictured are brand new. Just be aware that not all stores may have received them yet, or may not have the full line of them on shelf.

I have three of the old ones and they are great for cranks, spinnerbaits, and topwaters. Sensitive enough to feel if willow leaf blades are spinning correctly on a spinnerbait.

I'll be getting one of the standard and the micro guides soon. Hopefully they are as good as they look.

The micros have come into our store now as well. They feel pretty nice. I will say the picture it's not playing tricks on this one, because of how thick the blank is, the grips are pretty fat. I don't mind them, people with smaller hands might.

Hmm. I might have to come out and get my hands on one. 

I work at basspro in the fishing department. We got those in too. Looks like the micro guide one is a full glass rod and the regular ones are composite. But I wouldn't get the micro guides. Like all our basspro micro guides. They're too flimsy and will bend super easy... we also got the new extremes in

I'm interested to see if the old Crankin Sticks will go on clearance. 

I got my hands on the composite one and really like it. I plan on buying one soon and they seem a lot lighter than the older model. I wasnt a fan of the micro guide version, specifically the reel seat.
