I got my hands on the composite one and really like it. I plan on buying one soon and they seem a lot lighter than the older model. I wasnt a fan of the micro guide version, specifically the reel seat.

Yeah i have one also. I discovered while on a float trip how much more stable it is with items down inside of the kayak. I store all my lures down inside the center hatch.

If you have the choice.. land between the lakes area is pretty nice.. TONS of fishing water.. we have all the seasons.. you might see a snow or two but we never really ice over..

Location Any place with cover and deep water close by.. sometimes docks.. sometimes fallen trees... riprap.. etc... Points.. I prefer a rocky bottom if i can find it.. Lures.. I like to stick with a tube this time of year if bank fishing.. I internally weight it with a jighead (1/8th or 1/4 oz usually) and can usually get bit.. sometimes I glue a small glass rattle inside the tube for a little extra attraction..

And... 5 days after my original post.... My jeep is SOLD. Time to buy some fishing stuff, and say goodbye to one of the last things that kept me from fishing..

I have a jeep wrangler I have completely rebuilt.. Well I am in the process of doing. I rebuilt the engine and suspension. Right now the front dana 60 sits disassembled and awaiting time to put back together. It is hard when all you want to do is fish. I have thought about selling it several times, but just cant seem to get it put back together.
