Best Flouro For Under $15?

Featured Replies

Experimenting with cheap fluorocarbon is what convinced me to stick with braid.  :-)

The lines I tried were all used on spinning reels, which I think may be less forgiving of line quality.  No loss for me though, as I use the line  six feet at a time as leaders on my braid.  I think Invisx was the best one I tried; cheap Berkley was the worst.

Tight lines,

Bob

I've tried Seagur redlabel and I've tried Viscous both lines I'm extremely happy with. Currently I'm still using Viscous.

Yo zuri hybrid is probably the best bang for the buck. I use both that and Invisx and the Hybrid has done well for me over the years.

I've had great luck with Spiderwire.

I've used the Red Label and liked it.  Want to give the Sunline Super a try.

Not sure what the best is, I'm still experimenting with Flouro, but I can say this, DO NOT buy Spider Wire. My experience with that crap is horrible. My wife's sewing thread is tougher that that Spider garbage.

Red Label.

It doesn't really matter, does it? It's only used as leader material anyway.... :slywink:

Right.  I tell all the guys in my club to use Vanish for their leaders.....

And that would make a most excellent X-mas gift for each of them . . . .
