  1. I use SA Fishing gear. They usually have some great deals from facebook. I got two for $10.
  2. Yeah, the idea is to make it look easy to eat and put it where the bass can't resist. Its' no end all be all bait and sure has it's time and place just like anything else.
  3. Welcome to the forums!
  4. Welcome!
  5. Welcome!
  6. Wife picked me up a Lucid HD7 for Christmas. I got to shoot it a couple weekends in a row and have to say I love it! So glad I went with it.
  7. I bought a 1954 type 53 Mosin. I really liked the gun and it was very accurate. I should have kept it but right now, I feel I need more protective guns than older, more collector style guns. I will have another and a type 53 SKS to go with it.
  8. Spinnerbaits I am going to try the War Eagle series this year. I hate saying that being an Alabama fan. Cranks I am going to go to the Rapala DT series.
  9. Drop shot will catch quite a few fish. Or it has for me.
  10. Goose Pond has been awesome over the years. Gets a lot of pressure though. Love that area. Honeycomb and Town Creek are some others I have fished in the past and really like.
  11. Welcome! I love fishing some of those lakes as well. Hope it's a great year!
  12. You made a great choice! Welcome!
  13. Welcome! What part of Tennessee?
  14. Welcome aboard!
  15. Yeah, I usually stop fishing late November till March. I was able to do a lot of shooting the past two months but now it's just too cold to do anything. I can't wait for Spring.
  16. Try using the improved clinch knot. It's a great knot for this type of line. I use it all the time and barely use mono. I've only lost one and it's cause my drag was too tight and I got cocky with the fish.
  17. Personally, I love the DS rig. I picked it up last year and was almost deadly. Had a few friends who knew nothing about bass fishing catch fish on this rig. It's not a big fish catcher typically but I have caught them in the 3lb range. It's big upside is keeping it in one place and jigging it. And esp if you are fishing deep.
  18. What area are you fishing by chance? D-bomb's are usually highly effective out there. Of course the A-rig but I'm not a fan. When you get a little closer, google "Guntersville Bass fishing reports." There is usually some great information on there.
  19. Welcome to the boards!
  20. Looks like you had a lot of fun out there!
  21. Totally agree. I have a 1:7 twist PSA and shoot 55 grain all day because it's easy to find. But I don't try to snipe at 300 yard with it either lol
