  1. I totally agree with you on that one. Gotta get a new fuel pump for my boat and get out there for sure.
  2. Well, I like to be close at least. Throwing a 1/2 spinnerbait on a medium fast action rod isn't a lot of fun lol Then again a drop shot with an 1/8 weight on a MH action rod and a 5.4:1 gear ratio reel isn't either. But do I really worry between spinnerbait rods/reels vs crankbait or texas rig? Nah
  3. That's awesome man! I caught my biggest this year also! My guess is 4-5 also.
  4. I'm new also from Alabama! Good see quite a few Bama fisherman on here. Very nice rig btw.
  5. Haha that is very true! Bronzebacks are the ones I'd love to catch. I have not caught one yet but plan on working on fixing that soon!
  6. I bought a couple of the Black and silver max rod and reel combos by Abu Garcia. They've worked well for me so far. I am going to start trying to upgrade now. But like the guys said, save the money and try to buy better. Buy once, cry once.
  7. Quantum Accurist reel with a Quantum rod. First lure used was probably a Terminator spinnerbait but the first bass I caught on a lure was a deep diving crankbait in a baby bass color. Not sure the brand though.
  8. Hey guys and gals, I am David from Northern Alabama. I have been fishing since I can remember thanks to my Granddad and dad. I did get out of fishing for about 5-6 years because of my age mainly. Cars, girls and partying got to be the top of my priority list. Now that I am married and almost done with college, I've been getting back into it. I finally got a boat at the end of this season and some good fishing equipment. Can't wait for early spring to start boat fishing finally. Bass fishing has quickly become my favorite and the boat is going to be a big help I believe. I've had some great luck this year dock and bank fishing. I've caught some of the biggest bass I've ever caught almost consistently this year. Next year should be even better!
