Can't say as a kid I had any clue what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. At 45 it has come full circle.

LOL, yup. Turning 40 brought the inexplicable weight gain.

45? What you said.

Spaceman was not an option after high school.

Air Force pilot and/or Astronaut.  With my eyesight at the time it was a definite NO.  Ended up working on them (indirectly) when I worked for Lockheed Martin earlier on in my career.

I'll answer this as soon as I stop hitting my head against my desk....

also, would say that the work landscape has changed drastically since i was a kid (not that long ago).  In elementary school, i remember word per minute programs, floppy disks and the oregon trail were all the rage in the computer world!!!  now, almost every job interacts with a computer in one form or another.  would have been hard to even imagine some of the jobs that people get paid for right now!

Sheesh, when I was young, the Oregon trail was what I used to get my furs to the trading post.

Yes, fire, but no wheels. And this for minimum wage.

I want to be a firefighter or science/math teacher. Teacher would be nice because of the hours. Plenty of xtra time for fishing with summers off!;) Firefighter is definitely a cooler job though..

Growing up i always wanted to become a mechanic, now i am an RN. Cant say i am even close lol.

When I was a kid I wanted to be Evel Knievel.  Then the Six Million Dollar Man.  Unfortunately, neither of those panned out.

In the end, what really matters is that you're happy with yourself.  Whether rich or poor or somewhere in the middle, like who you are.  The rest will truly work itself out.
