Curado 300E

Featured Replies

I got a 300E for a present and dont know what to use it for.  It seems really big for normal bass fishing.  I guess I will use it for big baits and or a rigs.  Anyone have one and what do you use it for.

Good reel for swimbaits, rats, big wake baits and A-rigs.

Maybe a BR member will trade you a 200 series for your 300E

It's an awesome reel for bigger swimbaits, i'm sure A-rigs would be easy on it too.

I use mine for primarily umbrella rigs and swimbaits but it's by no means a "bad" reel for regular bass lures. I've fished 3/8 oz swimjigs without any problems. Also fish the middle size Whopper Plopper with it, it will absolutely launch those baits. I love my 301E, very robust reel.

I use mine for A rigs and swimbaits. It's an awesome reel for heavier baits like that.

Took it back and got a 200.  Got line and several baits to boot.  It was and turned out to be a great gift.

I'd have advised you to at least fish it once before you took it back but glad you got a reel you'll be happy with after all. Forgot to mention in my earlier post but the 300E is also great for 10XD's.

I had one, excellent Pike and Musky reel. For bass swimbaits and a-rigg
