I Never Stop

Everything is frozen over, but not enough to walk on the ice, so I decided to use a canoe to spread my weight out (around 3" thick but I wasn't taking any chances). Tied a rope to a fencepost on one side of the pond, and tied it to a tree on the other side, I used this to slide myself back and forth across the pond. Ended up catching one trout and a few bluegills---not bad for southern ice fishing

Our ice is thick enough to walk on after this past week. If the wind is too strong on my day off Friday, I'm buying waxworms and ice fishing for trout and gills.

LOL. I did the same thing once when I was young. Its not a very good idea.

Edited. I misunderstood . I thought you ran across the pond leaning on the boat to spread your weight. Your way with the rope is pretty clever.

lol  I can picture that! Great idea! Made me think of this though:

Love that movie
