Wd40 works, garlic works just don't spill it in your hatch back it smelled like an Italian salad all summer. The more the sun heated it the worse it got. I was hungry every time I drove the car. Much better than a mint air freshener. Try the cat spray it might work good luck bottling it.

We had a cat for a few years and never notice the smell until it past away from old age. It took us almost 2years to get rid of the smell. I will never own another.

Another dog guy here; have a miniature schnauzer and a standard schnauzer.

I have a great idea..dont keep your gear, especially stuff that smells like FISH, where feral cats hang out...but its the cats fault.

Maybe you should have buried it when it died rather than 2 years later.
