3Xd Replacment Hooks?

Featured Replies

What size and flavor hooks should i put on these?...the stockers look a hair this and small for my liking

Mine have #6 Owner ST36s on them.

Cool...are they larger than the stockers or just thicker?

I run #4 Mustad KVD elite ,1x strong, 2x short triple grips on them. It's one size bigger than the stock hooks but has no adverse effects on the bait.

They're sharper and stronger, about the same size though. The 3XD isn't a very big bait, I'd worry about a bigger hook messing with the action.

One size up with a shorter shank shouldnt effect it much at all if any...besides i grind em through the nasties timber and rocks i can find lol

I'd use a size 4 or 6

I run this style hook on all my cranks, even rig my swimbaits with them and haven't had any issues.  These get my vote.
