Making It Work!

Featured Replies

Heading down to Guntersville this spring. Im wanting to try a umbrella rig. I'm really not set up to throw something that heavy but I have old 7'6 Heavy that is rated up to 2oz.  So what rig do you think that I can throw and give me my best chance to catch a few.

I have little knowledge on A Rigs...I'd like to here what answers are here. I want to try the Booyah Boo (kinda umbrella, kinda not) rigs and Yumbrella Flash Mob Jrs.

Flash Mob Jr's would be your best bet with 1/4 oz heads. A-rig won't be the best way to catch them on Gville in the spring tho...

OK, well what is the best way to catch a few? Its my first time going to Gville and we are only going for 3 days. So any info would help.

Find the bait first. In my experience, throwing the rig is almost always a waste of time unless there's baitfish around. Mess around with counting it down, retrieve speeds, stop and go. If the fish want it they'll tell you.

Money Minnows with the largest one in the center of the Alabama rig.

You can also put a silver spoon as your middle bait.
