Livingston Lures New

Featured Replies

Anyone have any of the new livingstons? Are they any good?

I bought a dmc square bill. With 3 sounds. i think it will do good. Just gotta wait for the water to warm up

I have one of the livingstons (pro wake in money gill) that run sub surface. You can make it click and blink, but if I remember right I think some states don't allow the light, as it is considered an attractor.

I bought it because I was looking for shallow running lures. It has a nice color to it. It is a thicker like a Man's bait. Hooks where okay.

Nothing bad stood out about it when I unboxed it.

I was wondering about these as well, the Howellers I assume you are talking about?

Wonder what the battery life is on those things?  You would think that any small crank water would fry the circuit board.

Such a small charge through it. I don't think it would.

Most electronics these days receive a coating from the factory that makes them practically waterproof. You would be surprised what can be done these days with electronics.

Bought several of these when they first came out.  Batteries died after 1 season on most of them and I did not do that well on them.  I was not impressed.  As for the Howeller...If you watched Randy live online during the Classic he caught most of those fish the final day on the Rapala DT and switched over to the Livingston late in the day.....  sponsorship footage...... My suggestion is save your money.

This.  The 20 foot Dive Master is worth a look if you're a DD 22 guy and want something that can get down to 20 feet.  Buy a used one with dead batteries and you can be at DD 22 money.

Randy Howell could have thrown a turd with trebles that day and caught those fish.

hahaha funny!!

I think they work, it's just there's so many other, better options. Strike King XD, DD22, Spro Little John DD, and Lucky Craft D10, 12 and 20 are all cheaper and perform just as well or better Imo

Yeah he did many catch them on the DT thug and then switched over to the livingston prototype. The bait he used isn't the same bait that livingston is selling to the general public. Came directly out of the mouth of a livingston rep.

Randy's lures are custom painted and made for each lakes forage... good luck finding the one he uses..

The guy used a DT-6 in Ike's demon color to catch the majority of his fish, the area he fished was too shallow for the Livingston lure as he did use it but it got hung up and it was the only one he had. When he wasn't able to upgrade in the spot he was at he moved out to another spot in a little deeper water and it was there he was able to cull that one fish that put him over the top and it was on his Livingston prototype and he had the footage otherwise everyone would have assumed it was a sponsor plug as he really hammered them on a DT-6.

Thats my go to.
