    Maybe not.  My daughter loves to fish.  Unfortunately I didn't find that out until she was an adult.  Quit for 23 years.  She was 7 at the time i quit.  However, it is doubtful I would have found out anyway as I was one of those guys working long hours.  Sometimes I didn't get home until she was already asleep.  I was already at work when she awoke.   It has been said many times that we look back and regret.  I regret missing out on helping her with school work and just plain spending time with her.  It need not cost a fortune to spend time fishing with your children.

     

    OP.  don't make the same mistake.  We need to make money to support our families, but don't let it become the main goal.   Family is much more important.  You've got a nice one started.  Enjoy it.

    Little girls are a lot of fun.

     

    Problem arises when they get around 11 or 12 and they think like an adult and start to drive you crazy.

     

    Please introduce her to fishing.

     

    And have her learn to swim as soon as you can.
