Hey hows it going everyone? I recently started fishing and fell in love with bass fishing, the problem is... I'm not very good at it and don't know anyone who is.... I've researched a lot and like to think I'm doing my best but still having trouble getting bites. so I thought maybe you experts here can help me out! haha I have a boat and have been going to LAKE ORBORNE in lakeworth quite often. The first few times I caught 2 good sized bass (beginner's luck) then I went and invested quite a bit into equipment (trolling motor, fish finder, rods, lures,) and now I can't catch anything! I would love to meet up and fish  with someone who fishes around me and who can show me the ropes and give me some tips.

 

PS. bought bass that i caught was using shiners... never even had a bite on lures even though i've used all the ones that people recommend online... cranks, plastics, spinners etc...

In Lake Osborne I'd try fishing off Lantana Rd near the airport, lot of bass and peacocks in that area, boat access only.

Lake Ida, fish just north of the Lake Ida bridge for peacocks, also where the Bob West canal runs into the lake, holds a lot of fish.  Further north near Mission Rd work the shorelines for both bass and peacocks.
