Featured Replies

So what happened to the review that was on here yesterday with pictures of a new loomis E6X rod with a bad wrapping and epoxy?

Was it fake?

That's strange. My buddy was talking to me today and said he was going to order a new E6X rod. I told him to get on here and check out those pictures, but for some reason it's deleted.

Don't let that thread affect your decision to make a purchase

I hope to have one in my hands shortly.

Why? The rod in those pictures looked terrible. If I were going to buy one it would definitely affect my decision.

I'll be getting new shoes and belt to match. :P

Asian, Adam, you both have a point. I bought a Veritas 2.0 after seeing all the negative reviews. Yes, it hurts the decision making process, but if you trust the brand, buy. If it turns out to be a turd, send it back to the company or the original place of purchase. If they won't take it back, no need to continue business with that company.

The tip was bad. One has to wonder though if more manufactures used contrasting colors on a blank if you wouldlnt see the same issues on brands accord the board. It's pretty easy to hide imperfections with a black/slate blank, black wraps and a black guide foot.

Even more of a reason to expertly craft the product.. I mean if your going to use Limetruse as your wrap color, best get it right. Still, probably just a new employee type thing. Time well tell, it always does..

Handled them at a fishing show today. I wasn't impressed. Also got to see the zodias, would definitely grab that over the e6 for a rod $200 and under...

That was my first impression when I held both of them two days ago.  The Zodias rod felt better in store.  I'll even call it a Crucial killer and dare to even say the Zodias if it fishes just as good as it feels then I think it would kill the Cumara.

As for the build on the E6X rod, the 6 I looked at didn't have issues with quality.  If I was going to buy one, I wouldn't have hesitated because of the build.

That's correct.  Nothing more to see here.
